COVID-19 Continuity of services during Lockdown

Following on from the President’s address and confirmation of a national lockdown commencing on the evening of the 26th March at 23:59, we at SSG wish to assure you that the safety and security of our employees and clients remain our primary concern. We recognise the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic and are taking all necessary and appropriate measures to ensure that we continue to remain focused on safe service delivery during this challenging time for our nation.

Our COVID-19 Business Continuity Plan has been activated on the basis that certain goods and services have been classified as essential for the lock down period. In this light SSG will adhere to the regulations as set out under the amendment of regulations issued in terms of Section 27(2) of the National Disaster Act, 2002, further to this we will comply with all directives issued by PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) and will maintain close communications with all law enforcement agencies and health care services/hospitals within our areas of service.

As an employer, SSG recognises our responsibility to provide a safe and healthy working environment for our employees, in this respect SSG will maintain a safe and healthy working environment by promoting and encouraging regular hand-sanitising by employees, promoting respiratory hygiene of employees, limiting physical contact between employees. We will be implementing ongoing measures and will keep employees updated on factual developments relating to COVID-19.

These are unprecedented times, SSG are ready and prepared to serve. We know that as South Africans we are resilient and spirited and that we will get through this together.
