About Us
SSG Holdings was created by our shareholders in early 2014 to realise their dream to create a specialised integrated services group to deliver technically sound and commercially viable Security, Facilities Management and Cleaning solutions to the South African Market.
Our former Group CEO, the late Jorge Ferreira who was
also the founder of Protea Coin and listed Mvelaserve on the JSE was instrumental in successfully restructuring SSG into a group of compliant service delivery focused subsidiaries.
We are therefore proud to state that we have comprehensive knowledge and expertise to manage the risks our clients face on a day to day basis.
SSG Holdings is now headed up by our Group CEO, John Smit, who captained South Africa to victory at the 2007 Rugby World Cup. John joined SSG in February 2019 bringing substantial corporate experience combined with a “winning team” approach to our group of companies. Being a natural leader, John quickly gained the respect and trust of the SSG team and has aligned the company for sustainable and responsible growth through an innovative and clear-cut strategy.
